南方の釣りの楽園・沖縄県石垣島周辺は黒潮の恩恵を受けて様々な大型魚が潜む魅力的なフィールド。今回、数々の大物を釣り上げてきたカリスマアングラー・高橋哲也さんが石垣島を訪れ、泳がせ釣りで大型のカジキとキハダマグロを狙う。釣り人なら一度は対峙したいと憧れる大物と手に汗握る熾烈なやり取りを繰り広げる。またこの海域は魚の宝庫。時には300メートル程の海底に棲む多種多様な魚との出会いを求め、深場釣りも楽しむ。
